City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On 17 December 2025, Tbilisi hosted a multi-stakeholder workshop in close collaboration with the WHO Country Office in Georgia to tackle one of the biggest challenges in cancer care: ensuring timely, accurate diagnosis and seamless patient journeys.
Even the best treatments are only effective if patients are diagnosed early and efficiently. This workshop brought together healthcare providers, patient advocates, and experts to:
- Map the real-life patient journey from first symptoms to treatment
- Identify barriers that delay diagnosis or disrupt care
- Co-create practical, locally relevant strategies to guide patients through the system
By integrating the WHO patient navigation framework and national priorities, we are making sure that every patient can access timely care, improving outcomes and survival rates.
A huge thank you to Carolyn Taylor from Global Focus on Cancer, who facilitated the workshop, and to all participants for your expertise, insights, and commitment. Your collaboration is helping make breast cancer care in Tbilisi faster, fairer, and more patient-centred.”
