“The OCP for Older People with Cancer as part of the Australian Cancer Plan has been launched.
The next step is implementation. We are now working on strategies.
One part of this is to employ initiatives to reduce ageism in the provision of care.
I look forward to working with all levels of health services and of course patient groups and clinicians to enable this.
Adequate assessment yields appropriate care.”
