”Two months ago, I set out ride 1000 miles in a month and to raise $5000 for the International Myeloma Foundation’s 2026 Iceland Cycling Expedition. I am excited to share that I completed the 1000 miles in the month of June and am very close to my personal goal of $5000 thanks to the generous contributions of friends and colleagues. As a team, together with Greg Williams and Phil Powell we have raised $21,000 in support of IMF research.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible including my wife and family for supporting my long rides. And thank you to the leadership at Johnson and Johnson who believed in me and are supportive of the Iceland Cycling Expedition. I never expected this level of support, and I truly appreciate it.
In 2 weeks, I will join an exceptional group of cyclists riding across Iceland to raise awareness and support research for multiple myeloma. The expedition helps support research, including the landmark iStopMM study, which is exploring whether finding multiple myeloma before symptoms develop can reduce complications and improve patient outcomes.
Our team is still raising funds to support this work. And if you’d rather participate than donate, I’d love to have you ride alongside me during the IMF Iceland Cycling Expedition Virtual Challenge this August. You can participate from anywhere-outdoors, on a Peloton, at the gym, or on your favorite bike trail.
