Christian Ntizimira, Executive Director of ACREOL and Faculty member of the Palliative Care Centre for Excellence in Research and Education (PalC), Singapore, shared a post on X:
“A few weeks ago, I had the honor of lecturing at Stanford Medicine, sharing Rwanda’s journey in palliative care, ACREOL Global’s work, the Safari Concept, and Ubuntu as a philosophy of care.
It was a powerful reminder that palliative care is not only about medicine, but it is about dignity, compassion, presence, culture, community, and our shared humanity.
Special thanks to Mimi Dunne, my sincere gratitude to Dr. Lidia Schapira, Dr. Justin Baker, Dr. Deborah Kado, Paul Mischel, Tanya Luhrmann, Laura Wittman, Kelsey Clough, and everyone who created space for this meaningful exchange.
From Rwanda to Stanford University, the message remains clear: every person deserves to be cared for with dignity, love, and compassion.”
