Christian Ntizimira, Executive Director of ACREOL Global, shared a post on X:
“Humbled and deeply honored to receive the ‘Outstanding Male Writer Award’ from the Rwanda Literary Excellence Award for The Safari Concept book.
This recognition belongs to every patient and family who allowed me to listen to their stories and learn from their courage. Sharing the stage with Hon. Antoine Mugesera, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, reminded me that writing is service: we preserve memory, protect dignity, and open pathways for empathy.
The Safari Concept was born from bedside conversations, moments of uncertainty, hope, and love. It argues for a partnership model in medicine: patients not as clients, but as co-authors of their care. To the young and junior physicians: your words matter. Document the hard days and the healing ones. Write to challenge systems, to humanize statistics, and to make care safer, fairer, and kinder.
With gratitude to Prof. Mbonyinkebe Deo (anthropological insights), Mr. Samuel Sangwa (rigorous literary guidance), Dr. Susan Block (medical mentorship), and my wife Reine Kamagaju (unconditional support).”
