Chris Boerner, Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb, shared on LinkedIn:
“Today is World Brain Day and, at Bristol Myers Squibb, this one hits close to home. Our commitment to brain health runs deep, spanning every stage of the journey. And it starts with science.
We’ve chosen to pursue some of the most complex and consequential diseases in neuroscience. Not because it’s easy but because patients deserve better.
But it doesn’t end in the lab.
It extends to the families sitting in waiting rooms, the caregivers who reorganize their entire lives, the loved ones trying to hold on to moments that feel just out of reach. They are part of every decision we make.
And it extends to our own people. We can’t talk about brain health without also caring for the mental and cognitive wellbeing of colleagues who make this work possible every day. That means creating an environment where they can truly thrive.
That’s what World Brain Day means to me, and why Bristol Myers Squibb will continue showing up every day for the patients, families, caregivers and communities who inspire this work.”
