CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This past week, CHOC had the privilege of welcoming a passionate team from Moshi, Tanzania: Dr Esther Majaliwa, Paediatric Oncologist; Faith Douglas, Child Life Specialist and Social Worker; and Beatrice Chimela, Project Coordinator. With the support of Childhood Cancer International, they are in the process of establishing Hope for Children, a childhood cancer NPO and accommodation facility in Tanzania.
During their visit, they spent time with the CHOC team and toured paediatric wards to experience firsthand how our programmes provide vital support to children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer, and their parents.
We are inspired by their commitment to building hope and care for families in Tanzania, and proud to share our experience as they embark on this important journey. Together, we strengthen the global effort to improve outcomes for children and teenagers with cancer.”
