“Improving outcomes in healthcare takes more than expertise, it requires coordination, shared purpose, and systems that work.
Improving outcomes in childhood cancer starts with awareness, early detection, and access to the right care at the right time. Across Africa, strengthening these pillars is key to changing survival trajectories.
At SIOP Africa 2026 in Lagos, clinicians, researchers, nurses, and advocates will come together with a unified goal: advancing pediatric cancer care across the continent.
Key focus areas include:
- Earlier diagnosis and reducing delays in care
- Improving access to quality treatment
- Strengthening health systems and workforce capacity
- Supporting children and families throughout the care journey
Across the sessions, one message remains consistent; catch cancer earlier, make care more accessible, and improve outcomes for children.
