“Major highlights of the AORTIC – Africa 2025 conference in Hammamet, Tunisia was connecting with colleagues across different countries.
It was fantastic to meet up with Prof. Olusegun Alatise, Dr. Annet Nakaganda, and other members of the African Research Group for Oncology (ARGO) team.
It was nice to see familiar faces like Dr Omolola Salako-The People’s Oncologist, Dr. Lilian Ekpo, Dr. Zainab Yunusa-Kaltungo, and Dr. Nwamaka Lasebikan while also connecting with new people to foster the collaboration needed to advance oncology research and care across the continent.
These face-to-face interactions are crucial. It’s indeed been an insightful discussion, and it’s good to see the shared commitment to improving cancer outcomes in Africa.
