“We’re proud to share that Children’s Medical Research Institute’s Director, Prof Roger Reddel, has been named a Life Member of Cure Cancer, recognising more than three decades of service as a grant recipient, research adviser and Board member.
Roger’s Cure Cancer journey began in 1992 with a grant to research how cancer cells become immortal, work that has since grown into CMRI’s internationally respected Cancer Research Unit.
In his own words:
“My connection with Cure Cancer started early in my post-doctoral research career when they supported me with a project grant. I strongly believe in Cure Cancer’s mission to support young cancer researchers, so it was a privilege to serve the organisation as a Committee and Board member for 26 years, and it’s a real honour to be made a Life Member. But the greatest reward has been seeing so many of the young researchers the organisation has supported make excellent progress towards curing cancer.”
