Children’s Cancer Institute Honors the Legacy of Dame Marie Bashir

Children’s Cancer Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:

Children’s Cancer Institute are saddened to hear of the passing of the Honourable Dame Marie Bashir. Dame Bashir was a remarkable person who treated children with cancer in her early career when treatment options were extremely limited. Dame Marie was patron of the Institute for more than 20 years and was also patron of the ZERO capacity campaign.

We are so appreciative of Dame Bashir’s valuable support and advocacy for our research and the cause of kids with cancer, that she so generously provided over many years, and we acknowledge her extraordinary contribution to the State of New South Wales and beyond. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.”
