“Histotripsy has become a novel and exciting option for patients with liver tumors. This FIRST EVER multi center study of efficacy demonstrates a 94% and 96% rate of local tumor control, with no serious complications (Clavien Grade III+).
The results are preliminary, and longer term oncologic and comparative evidence is needed, but this is exciting in the move to treating liver tumors better and more safely! Link to previous safety study also below
