Charles Roberts։ Exploring the Future of Pediatric Cancer Research and Emerging Technologies

Charles Roberts, Cancer Center Director and Executive Vice – President at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I recently joined Dr. Timothy Chou on the Pediatric Moonshot podcast for a conversation about the future of pediatric cancer research and the scientific advances that are opening new possibilities for patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as well as those across the country and around the world.

We discussed how a deeper understanding of disease biology is enabling more precise therapeutic strategies, the growing role of computational approaches in discovery and translation, and emerging technologies that have the potential to transform care.

We also explored an important reality: progress in science only matters if it reaches the patients who need it. As new treatments emerge, we must continue working to ensure that children in the US and around the globe can benefit from advances in research.

Thank you to Tim for the thoughtful discussion and the opportunity to reflect on where the field is headed and what it will take to continue improving outcomes for children with cancer.
