“I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to attend and present at AACR’s Inaugural Drug Discovery and Development (AACR D3) conference.
The conference enriched my appreciation of the end-to-end pipeline of drug discovery. I enjoyed the nuances of pre-clinical drug design, learning from experiences from prior trials going through the process of FDA approvals and drug reimbursement rollout.
And under Dr. Lillian Siu and Dr. Anna Spreafico’s guidance, I was able to work with ViewsML for a project predicting a virtualized PD-L1 IHC of recurrent/metastatic head and neck cancers from H&E slides. We are at 50% of the training set and now at ROC-AUC of 83.9. Accuracy hopefully the model gets better once we complete the whole cohort.
This is highly recommended for oncology fellows and everyone in the clinical trial space including basic science researchers, pharma and regulators.
It is inspiring how everyone comes together with one goal – learning and delivering the best treatment for all our patients.”
