Charles-Henry Canova Reflects on Taking the ESMO Exam a Decade After His Thesis

Charles-Henry Canova, Radiation Oncologist at South Oise Radiotherapy Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Following a message from the CNEC Cancérologie on LinkedIn which encouraged medical oncology and oncology-radiotherapy interns to take the ESMO exam.

I thought it wouldn’t hurt me for the scientific challenge and to take stock of the updating of my knowledge.

I found myself under the supervision of my first Master in Oncology, Prof. Jean-Philippe SPANO who allowed the examination to be carried out in France.

In the end, a great experience 10 years after the thesis to be repeated in a few years.

The ESMO membership with all its materials is very useful for the continuing education of oncologists in the broad sense.

I would like to congratulate all the medical oncology and oncology-radiotherapy interns, of whom there were many this year.

Congratulations to Dr. Paul Gougis for chairing this exam and the ESMO Academy.”
