Charbel Matar, Chief Fellow of the Hematology-Oncology, George Washington University, shared on LinkedIn:
“Honored and humbled to share that I have been named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO). Looking back to my days in medical school, I never would have imagined reaching this milestone, especially at this stage of my career. I am deeply grateful to the many mentors, colleagues, friends, and family who have supported me throughout this journey, from Holy Spirit University of Kaslik – USEK to American University of Beirut , University of Connecticut , and The George Washington University. This recognition belongs to all of you as much as it does to me.
ASCO has been an incredible professional home, and becoming a Fellow is a privilege. I hope to pay forward the mentorship and opportunities I have received by supporting the next generation of oncologists.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.”
