Just returned from SHIFT 2026: Driving Innovations in Oncology in Austin, hosted by TensorBlack.
Most important question wasn’t ‘What can AI do?’
It was:
‘What can we actually deploy – and how will it improve care for our patients?’
We dug into:
- AI implementation and adoption
- Precision oncology and cellular therapy
- Clinical research and innovation
- What it takes to move innovation from technology – workflow – patient care
As a cancer physician, I appreciated that the conversation stayed grounded in the realities of practicing medicine.
Because innovation only matters if it helps us deliver:
- Better care
- Better outcomes
- Better experiences for patients
And, as always, some of the best conversations happened between the sessions – reconnecting with colleagues, meeting new innovators, and hearing perspectives from across the cancer ecosystem.
