European Cancer Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Cervical Cancer Awareness Month is ending, but the work to eliminate cervical cancer carries on every day.
Europe has everything needed to prevent this disease, including HPV vaccination and screening. What we do not yet have is equal access across all communities.
Our ‘Closing the Gaps’ report shows that many countries still use outdated screening models, and that women with lower income, disabilities, migrant backgrounds or reduced digital access are far less likely to be reached. These inequalities must be addressed.
Moving to more accessible screening, improving follow-up pathways and offering options like self-collection can help protect everyone, no matter their circumstances.
