Turning Strategy into Collective Action for Children with Cancer Everywhere – CCI

Childhood Cancer International – CCI shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Turning strategy into collective action for children with cancer – everywhere.

Access to affordable, quality-assured and uninterrupted supplies of essential childhood cancer medicines remains a major challenge in many parts of the world. While survival rates exceed 80% in many high-income countries, they remain below 30–40% in many low- and middle-income countries.

Closing this gap requires more than a strategy. It calls for collaboration, commitment and collective action across the global childhood cancer community.

Join the World Health Organization for ‘From strategy to collective action: shaping healthier markets for childhood cancer medicines’, a global webinar exploring the WHO Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines’ Market-Shaping Strategy 2026–2030 and the actions needed to build more sustainable markets and improve equitable access to essential medicines.

We are proud that Alejandra Mendez, President of the Board of Trustees of Childhood Cancer International (CCI), will represent CCI on the panel. Her participation brings the perspective of the global childhood cancer community to this important conversation and reinforces the importance of ensuring that the voices and experiences of children with cancer, survivors and their families are part of shaping solutions.
