A Glimpse of the CCAM Celebrations and Activities in World Child Cancer’s Programme Countries

World Child Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This September, communities across the globe have come together for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM).

Here’s a glimpse of the CCAM celebrations and activities that have happened in our programme countries:
  • Ghana: Public festivals, school quizzes, and media outreach raised awareness of early warning signs.
  • Bangladesh: Art competitions and nutrition workshops lifted spirits and educated families.
  • Nepal: Despite political challenges, our teams continued to raise awareness in schools and communities.
  • Cameroon: Survivors proudly celebrated ‘Back to School After Chemotherapy’ with bravery certificates.
  • Myanmar: Students at a local school created handmade cards filled with love to support children with cancer.
  • Malawi: A ‘Big Walk’ and media outreach brought childhood cancer awareness to the streets of Blantyre.

With just two days left in September, there’s still time to act.

Together, we can ensure more children survive and thrive.

Give now.”
