Catherine Alix-Panabières: 30,000 Connections and Already More Than 30,000 Followers

Catherine Alix-Panabières, Director of the Laboratory of Rare Human Circulating Cells, shared on LinkedIn:

“30,000 connections. And already more than 30,000 followers.

Today, LinkedIn reminded me that I have reached the limit of 30,000 connections.

Beyond the number itself, I see it as an opportunity to reflect on the richness of the professional and scientific exchanges, encounters and collaborations that this network has made possible over the years.

I am a Professor of Oncology and Hospital Practitioner in Medical Oncology at Montpellier University Hospital (CHU de Montpellier – Université de Montpellier – Faculté de Médecine Montpellier-Nîmes) with a particular interest in precision medicine in oncology.

My work focuses especially on the potential of Liquid Biopsy and circulating biomarkers to better understand cancer biology and improve patient care:

  • Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs)
  • Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)
  • Extracellular vesicles (EVs)
  • Circulating proteins
  • Microbiota
  • The immune system and treatment response

The challenge is both scientific and clinical: to better characterize disease, monitor its evolution and response to treatment, identify mechanisms of resistance, and ultimately move towards increasingly personalized cancer care.

With 30,000 connections and more than 30,000 followers, I would now like to further develop this community around scientific exchange, innovation and collaboration.

I am particularly interested in connecting with leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and R/D teams working at the forefront of these fields.

If your organization is developing technologies in liquid biopsy, CTCs, ctDNA, extracellular vesicles, protein biomarkers, immunology or precision oncology, I would be delighted to connect and exchange ideas.

The limit for connections may have been reached.

The possibilities for collaboration certainly have not.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this community and to the many conversations that continue to inspire me.
