Carolyn Taylor: Proud to Advance Peer Support as an Essential Part of People-Centered Cancer Care

Carolyn Taylor, Founder and Executive Director at Global Focus on Cancer, shared on LinkedIn:

“Very proud of the work we are doing at Global Focus on Cancer (GFC) to advance peer support as an essential part of people-centered cancer care, and grateful to have contributed to this important new paper in Supportive Care in Cancer.

Through our Stronger Together Peer Support Program, we have seen firsthand the power of shared lived experience and the importance of building culturally responsive, evidence-informed, and sustainable peer support programs across diverse settings.

This paper is an important step toward strengthening peer support as a discipline, advancing the evidence, and ensuring its recognition and integration into cancer care systems globally.

Grateful to my co-authors and colleagues for this collaboration and for helping move the field forward.”
