Caroline Roan, Chief Sustainability Officer, SVP, Global Health & Social Impact, President The Pfizer Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Nearly 25 years ago, I started at Pfizer’s 42nd Street headquarters in New York. My motivation to join the pharmaceutical industry stemmed from my belief that no industry is better equipped to help make better health possible for everyone, everywhere. Wow, what an exceptional and rewarding journey it has been.
Spending 25 years in Corporate Affairs showed me the critical role that the division played in bringing together communications, reputation, policy, patient advocacy, and partnerships to support an environment that helps ensure our innovations make it to patients.
As I prepare to depart, I’m reminded of the truly remarkable journey I’ve been on, including more than a decade under Sally Susman’s exceptional leadership and personal mentorship.
And so, for my final year-in-review photos at Pfizer, I have rummaged the scrapbooks to show you a few notable moments focused not just on 2025 but my nearly 25 years at the company.
While I take time to chart my next chapter, what a privilege it is to be able to look back on what we’ve been able to achieve together for patients.
Thank you to our past and current CEOs Albert Bourla, Ian C. Read, Jeffrey B. Kindler, Henry McKinnell and Bill Steere, and past and current Pfizer Foundation board members Sally Susman, Payal Sahni, Alexandre de Germay, Aamir Malik, Dave Denton, Aida Habtezion, John Young, Angela Hwang, Frank D’Amelio, Garry Nicholson, and so many more – who pushed for this important work in service of patients.
Onward,
Caroline.”
