Caroline Chukwu, Founder and Executive Director of Acetrea Cancer Advocacy Network, Oncology Nurse at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital – RSUTH, shared on LinkedIn:
”Some stages are platforms. Others are opportunities to lead.
Hosting the 2nd National Conference of the Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONS- Nigeria) 2026 was one of those opportunities for me.
For three days, i had the privilege of owning the stage, connecting with an incredible audience, keeping the energy alive, and helping bring together voices shaping the future of oncology nursing in Nigeria.
What made the experience even more special was the warmth, encouragement, and beautiful feedback received from colleagues, leaders, speakers, and participants throughout the conference.Every word of encouragement reminded me that the energy we bring to a room can make people feel seen, connected, and engaged.
I’m deeply grateful to Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONS- Nigeria) for the trust and confidence to entrust me with the stage, and to everyone who shared a kind word, cheered me on, and contributed to making the experience memorable.
It was a privilege to create an atmosphere where we could connect, engage, and celebrate the people and progress shaping oncology nursing in Nigeria.Am proud to be part of a community uniting voices and shaping the future together.”
