“She survived two childhood cancers.

Then, at 12, she was told to simply ‘go be normal.’

After spending eight years of her childhood in hospitals, Brett Wilson looked at her mother and asked: ‘What does that mean? I’ve been in a hospital for eight years.’

Years later, Brett created the Walking Miracles Family Foundation to give children, survivors and families what she and her mother never had: guidance, resources and support for life after cancer.

Because surviving cancer and knowing how to live after cancer are not the same thing.

She was told to ‘go be normal.’ Instead, she built what had been missing all along.
