“The conversation about complementary and alternative medicine in cancer care is more important than ever.
A new study of more than 2 million women with breast cancer found that CAM use alongside conventional treatment was associated with higher mortality, largely due to lower adherence to standard therapies.
The takeaway is not to avoid the conversation, but to have it. Open dialogue between patients and clinicians remains essential to informed decision-making and better outcomes.
