CancerWorld: Turning International Excellence Into a Measurable Change for Patients in Albania

CancerWorld shared a post on LinkedIn:

“From global knowledge to local impact-redefining cancer care

‘Access to advanced radiotherapy should not depend on where a patient lives.’

This is the mission driving Dr. Fatjona Pupuleku Kraja – turning international excellence into real, measurable change for patients in Albania.

Her experience at leading institutions such as the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano, the IEO European Institute of Oncology, and the The University of Kansas Cancer Center revealed a powerful truth:

  • Technology alone does not improve care.
  • Systems, standards, and accountability do.

Back home, she is building exactly that-structured protocols, quality assurance, and patient-centered care.

Because survival is not enough.
Quality of life matters.

Now as a Faculty Member at the European School of Oncology, she is shaping the next generation of oncologists to think beyond technique-to think in systems, in ethics, and in patients’ lives.

  • Precision must be human-centered
  • Excellence must be scalable
  • Progress must be shared.

Because every decision in cancer care shapes a life.”

To which Knarik Arakelyan, Managing Editor at CancerWorld, added:

“Head a pleasure to have an interview with Dr. Fatjona Pupuleku Kraja.”
