This article introduces the Common Sense Oncology movement, a global effort to redefine progress around outcomes that matter most: overall survival, quality of life, transparency, and equity.

Drawing on evidence, policy analysis, and international leadership within CSO, the piece challenges clinicians, researchers, regulators, and policymakers to ask a simple but essential question: Is this innovation meaningfully improving patients’ lives?
