IARC/WHO (International Agency for Research on Cancer/World Health Organization) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“IARC was delighted to welcome the Finnish Ambassador to France, Her Excellency Kirsikka Lehto-Asikainen, as well as the Finnish Consul in Lyon, Mr Xavier Simon, to discuss cancer control initiatives with our Director, Dr Elisabete Weiderpass.
Finland is a country where science and evidence-based medicine are highly valued. Cancer research for Cancer Prevention is a priority, illustrated by Finland’s long history of collaboration with IARC, not least its status as an IARC Participating State since 1986.
We thank them for their visit, we look forward to continued collaborations with the Finnish cancer research community, and to welcoming Mrs Lehto-Asikainen and Mr Simon to IARC again soon.”
