“This year’s theme for Refugee Week, A Million Stories, highlights the importance of sharing and listening to stories of lived experience.

The Institute is committed to partnering with refugee communities with respect and dignity, to improve cancer outcomes across NSW.

This includes collaborating closely with refugee community leaders like Beatrice Sesay-Barrie to raise awareness of cancer prevention and screening in ways that are culturally appropriate and trauma-informed.
