Cancer Institute NSW shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We’re thrilled to award $800,000 across 4 new Clinical Trial Fellowships.
These Fellowships support the recruitment of a professional to undertake a short-term project that builds capacity and capability of the clinical trials unit.
Clinical trials have the potential to make significant advancements in cancer care and treatments, offering hope to those living with cancer. Unfortunately, not everyone in NSW has the same access to these trials, but the Institute is determined to change this.
Among our 2025 Fellows, 3 are focused on improving outcomes for people living in regional and rural NSW:
- Dr Alexandra Smith, North West Cancer Centre’s Oncology Clinical Trials and Research Unit
- Eleanore Romney, Sydney Local Health District
- Liza Nery, Royal North Shore Hospital
- A/Professor Daniel Steffens, Sydney Local Health District
Find more information about the Fellows and their projects here.”
