“Voices of the families post 46 Semira and her father.
Meet Semira, a 4-year-old girl from Jimma, Ethiopia.
‘My name is Mehamed, and I’m a farmer from Bedelle. Semira is my fourth child. When she was just one year old, we took her to the hospital for an eye problem. From there, we were referred to Jimma University Medical Center, where she was diagnosed with cancer,’
explained Semira’s father.
‘Semira has now completed her treatment, and her condition is improving. As a parent, I am truly thankful for how far she has come, and for all the support we received from the hospital, as well as from our friends and family.’
He continued, visibly happy that his daughter had finished chemotherapy and was showing signs of recovery.
Appropriate consent was given.”
