Andrea Seale: Canadian Cancer Society is Looking for Candidates for 2 New Senior Leadership Roles

Andrea Seale, Chief Executive Officer at Canadian Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Seeking exceptional candidates

We’re looking for exceptional candidates for two new senior leadership roles at the Canadian Cancer Society: Chief Mission Officer (reporting to me) and Executive Vice President, Advocacy and Policy.

In 2026, we are embarking on a new strategic plan, and we’re adding two seasoned leaders to help make the most of every opportunity for progress against cancer and better health for all. If you are passionate about cancer, science and medicine, public health, equity, and community engagement, these are special roles. With cancer affecting 2 in 5 Canadians, this is an opportunity to save lives, improve lives, and drive collective action on one of our most complex health challenges.

These positions will be part of our executive team, working closely with me and Sara Oates, Jane Parsons, Lesa O’Brien, Stuart E., Sandra Krueckl, and Pamela Mollica, who set a high bar every day. We have a staff of 800+, more than 20,000 volunteers, an excellent and engaged board of directors, and thousands of partners and supporters who are passionate about the progress we can make together.

We say ‘it takes a society’ to take on cancer – and we look for every opportunity for collaboration and impact. CCS is also a winner of Waterstone Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Culture award in 2025 and has been recognized as a Charity Village Best Nonprofit Employer – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Please share and help us spread the word. Thank you.”
