Bruce Levine: Ten-Year Outcomes Reinforce the Durability of CD19 CAR T-Cell Therapy

Bruce Levine, Barbara and Edward Netter Professor in Cancer Gene Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania, shared a post on X:

“NEW – Ten-Year Outcomes after CAR T-Cell Therapy for B-Cell Lymphomas. 38 heavily pretreated patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell lymphomas received CD19 CAR-T cells. At a median follow-up of 10.1 years, no relapses occurred beyond 5.4 years. That is not just response. That is durability.”

Hind Rafei, Assistant Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center, added:

“Wow!! incredible! Congratulations to the entire team. It is really exciting to see the growing success of CAR-T cell therapy and how it has changed the way we treat cancer. Also so exciting is seeing this momentum now extend into solid tumors. Thank you for all your efforts in developing and driving these therapies forward for our patients and for the field!!! Truly groundbreaking!”
