Brian Lawenda, Radiation Oncologist at Advocate Radiation Oncology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am excited to announce the launch of the Breast Oncology Clinical Decision Navigator, a tool designed to bring structured, evidence-based clarity during the complex decision-making process for local and regional breast cancer management.
While the evidence integrated into the app is available through resources like the NCCN guidelines or Open Evidence, this navigator organizes that vast landscape into a simple, algorithmic workflow.
Key Clinical Focus:
- Locoregional Scope: The app is designed for local or locally regional disease only; it is not intended for distant metastatic or recurrent settings.
- Technical Specificity: It covers precise surgical and radiation oncology management.
- Evidence-Based: Incorporates critical data points such as the Oncotype DX RS 18 threshold (awaiting TAILOR-RT RCT) and RCB risk stratification.
Precision de-escalation is what we strive to offer for our patients. This app is designed with this in mind.
Read the full clinical breakdown and access the app on my Substack.”
