“Radiation fractionation regimens can be hard for patients to understand. I often explain how one schedule compares to another and what BED means multiple times a day. I created the Radiation Therapy BED Visualizer app to give a quick, intuitive way to show tumor BED, OAR BED, and QUANTEC limits in real time.
I use it in clinic to show why different regimens can achieve the same tumor effect with very different normal-tissue tradeoffs. You can compare up to 4 regimens at once and include multiple OARs.”
