This represents another step toward a future where radiation medicine can improve the lives of even more patients. For individuals suffering from medically refractory conditions such as osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, Dupuytren’s contracture, keloids, and other debilitating disorders, expanding access to evidence-based, low-dose radiotherapy has the potential to provide meaningful relief when other treatment options have failed.
I have long been passionate about broadening the role of radiation medicine not only to advance cancer care, but also to improve quality of life for patients facing conditions with limited therapeutic alternatives.
