New Data Shed Light on Role of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in BPDCN

BPDCN International Registry shared a post on LinkedIn:

“New data from the BPDCN International Registry (NCT05430971) shed light on the role of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in BPDCN.

Among 70 patients enrolled across 17 centers worldwide, 16 underwent allo-HCT. At a median follow-up of 27 months, 63% of transplanted patients were alive. Most received ALL-based induction prior to transplant, and the majority proceeded to allo-HCT in first remission.

The data reinforce an important message: in eligible patients with BPDCN, optimizing access to tagraxofusp followed by allo-HCT may offer the best potential to improve long-term outcomes.

In a disease as rare and aggressive as BPDCN, every data point matters. Multicenter registries make it possible to generate real-world evidence that single institutions simply cannot produce alone.

The registry continues to grow. Centers managing BPDCN cases are warmly welcome to join this international collaborative effort.”
