“Congratulations to all the successful candidates for the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) Board of Directors and to CS Pramesh for his appointment as the President Elect. UICC is in excellent hands with such strong and inspiring leadership.
I am grateful for an opportunity to run, and while I was not elected, my commitment to the mission of UICC remains, and I will continue to look for opportunities to contribute to its work, especially in the area of cancer survivorship – with over 100 million cancer survivors around the world, there is much that needs to be done.
Congratulations to all my colleagues who ran, I appreciate an opportunity to get to know you a little better and hope that our connection will continue and thank you for all those who have put their trust in me by nominating and voting.”
