Bishoy Morris Faltas: Honored to Serve as Speaker for the 2026 Tung-Tien Sun Lectureship

Bishoy Morris Faltas, Chief Research Officer at the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine and an Associate Professor of Medicine and Cell and Developmental Biology at Weill Cornell Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Tomorrow, I have the privilege of being the speaker for the 2026 Tung-Tien (Henry) Sun Lectureship at NYU Langone Health NYU Grossman School of Medicine Department of Urology, and Perlmutter Cancer Center. I am very grateful to Dr. Xue-Ru Wu for his kind invitation.

As I reflect on Dr. Sun’s illustrious and inspiring career, including his work on keratins in epithelial tissue differentiation and his co-discovery of uroplakins in the early 1990s, I have come to appreciate that outstanding scientists like him leave the field richer and better not only through their scientific discoveries but also through the way they shape how we think about the scientific process and through their commitment to mentoring the next generation of scientists.

I look forward to sharing our work tomorrow, engaging in many scientific conversations, and meeting and connecting with colleagues at NYU!”
