Bibek Aryal Introduces the Value Cube Framework for Assessing Value in Global Oncology

Bibek Aryal, Surgeon-Scientist, Independent Researcher in Cancer Outcomes, shared on LinkedIn:

“Just out in Nature Medicine: our paper introducing the Value Cube, a three-dimensional framework for assessing value in global oncology.

About a year ago, Ophira Ginsburg, Dario Trapani, and I started sketching this concept together.

We view this paper as a starting point – a conceptual foundation to build on, rather than a finished system.

Our next goal is to develop the Value Cube into a fully operational framework with measurable indicators, scoring, and real-world testing.

We hope to expand the team with colleagues from different regions and health-system settings by the end of 2026, and begin the next phase of the project in early 2027.

With this publication, we also want to make an open invitation to the global oncology community:

Please read the concept, challenge it, and improve it. If you are interested in helping shape the next phase of the Value Cube, reach out – we’d love to have you join us.

Dario Trapani, Medical Oncologist at IEO European Institute of Oncology, added:

“Thank you, Bibek Aryal!

It’s been an absolute privilege turning those early sketches with you and Ophira Ginsburg into this framework.

Bridging the gap between a therapy’s theoretical benefit and its realizable value is so critical for global oncology.

I completely echo and endorse your call to action, excited to hear the community’s feedback and build the next phase together!”
