Biagio Ricciuti, Thoracic Medical Oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“KRAS alert!
Great to see our latest collaborative effort led by Chiara Ambrogio Lab, published in Cancer Discovery AACR Journals
Here, we demonstrate that acquired EML4ALK rearrangements can drive resistance to KRAS G12C (OFF) inhibitors by restoring RAS signaling through wild-type RAS.
These findings highlight an additional therapeutic opportunity for multi-selective RAS inhibitors currently under clinical investigation, as well as rational combination strategies incorporating ALK and RAS inhibitors.”
