Bethel Alemayehu: Grateful to Present My Poster at the WashU Graduate Research Symposium

Bethel Alemayehu, MPH candidate at Washington University in St. Louis, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Grateful to present my poster at the WashU Graduate Research Symposium.

Poster Title: Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Stage at Diagnosis Among Women with Primary Breast Cancer in the United States, 2018–2022

This project examines whether disparities in breast cancer stage at diagnosis persist even after accounting for tumor biology and key sociodemographic factors. My goal was to better understand how pathways to early detection and timely diagnosis may contribute to ongoing inequities, and how research can inform more equitable cancer prevention and care strategies.

Thankful for the opportunity to share this work, engage in meaningful discussions, and learn from the incredible research community. I appreciate my mentor Professor Kim Johnson and peers who supported this project.”
