“Prof. Poh Sheng Joe Yeong – Thanks for your leadership in pulling together the “movers and shakers” in cancer immunotherapy that are based in the Asian-Pacific region. This third annual conference, in coordination with the Taiwan Oncology Society (TOS) and the Taiwan society for immunotherapy of Cancer (TSITC) was a clear success!
Thanks to the local organizers Drs. John Wen-Cheng Chang, Peter Chiao-en Wu, Jen-Shi Chen, Tom Wei-Wu Chen, Huey-En Tzeng, Ming-Huang Chen, as well as Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) president James Gulley MD PhD FACP, and Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer Editor-in-Chief, Michael Lotze who also served as organizers.
As Chair of the World Immunotherapy Council (WIC), I am already looking forward to the fourth WIC-APAC that will be held in Thailand. The lead organizer for that meeting will be Dr. Nattiya Hirankarn.”
Quoting Poh Sheng Joe‘s post:
“Asia Pacific touring series.
On this Easter, I look back with gratitude on the successful hosting of the World Immunotherapy Council (WIC) APAC held in Taiwan last week.
WIC APAC serves as a rotating platform across the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together diverse communities while experiencing the unique culture and spirit of each host country. Taiwan this year, Thailand next year, and Japan the year after — I look forward to meeting again.
The value of the Asia-Pacific alliance lies in fostering cross-regional collaboration and dialogue, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of our region. In today’s complex global landscape, such connection and exchange are especially precious.”
