Bernard A. Fox, Co-founder, President, and CEO of UbiVac, shared a post by Wafik S. El-Deiry, Director of Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University and Chair of the WIN Consortium in Cancer Personalized Medicine, adding:
“Thought the comment of Prof. Ken Pienta to Wafik S. El-Deiry‘s post (copied below) – is also my perspective on the ruthlessness of cancer – and it is not limited to the USA. It is, and must continue to be, an international effort!
We must continue international collaboration and exchange. Cancer knows no boundaries!
“cancer just does not care whether you are famous or infamous or unknown, it does not care whether you are rich or poor, it does not care whether you are a republican or a democrat, it does not care about your race or ethnicity. it does not care what you do for a living.it does not care if you are single, married, a mother, a father, a grandparent. it just does not care that it took another life. every loss is devastating. we need better prevention, we need better detection, we need better treatment, we need MORE RESEARCH….CHARGE” noted Prof. Pienta.
Will note that I am very proud to Chair the World Immunotherapy Council ( WIC ) and participate in efforts like TIMO, Siena Think Tank & WIC APAC – which is supported by Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC).”
Quoting Wafik S. El-Deiry‘s post:
“So sad that with all the advances cancer is killing people. The American Cancer Society estimates greater than 600,000 deaths would occur in the US in 2025. We need more research and we must do better. Tony Letai
Tatiana Schlossberg, granddaughter of JFK, has died.
