Benjamin L. Ebert, President and CEO at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The stunning interior design and technological capabilities of the Lavine Bekenstein Cancer Hospital at Dana-Farber are coming together. We now have a video, linked here, with a fly-through of the halls of the future hospital.
Patients will benefit from technology-enabled care that combines advanced clinical capabilities with intelligent room technologies. The hospital will feature state-of-the-art imaging, an observation unit for rapid evaluation and treatment, and inpatient rooms designed through clinical simulation. Innovations such as ambient documentation, personalized room controls, and sensing technologies for fall prevention will enhance safety and care delivery.
We are also committed to creating a healing environment in our hospital, with abundant natural light, an indoor urban garden, and spaces designed to foster comfort, reflection, and connection to nature while managing air around patients to protect them from pathogens and viruses.
Technology, clinical innovation, and human-centered design will come together in the Lavine Bekenstein Cancer Hospital, where every space, every interaction, and every innovation is intentionally designed to improve outcomes, enhance well-being, and support patients and families throughout their journey.”
