Benjamin Garmezy: Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Highlights the Future of GU Oncology

Benjamin Garmezy, Medical Oncologist at SCRI Oncology Partners, shared on LinkedIn:

“September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a reminder of how far we’ve come in treating prostate cancer and how much progress is still ahead.

Through my work with Sarah Cannon Research Institute and SCRI Oncology Partners, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the remarkable pace of innovation in genitourinary cancer research.

New approaches, including T-cell engagers, Antibody Drug Conjugates, oral RIPTACs, and other targeted therapies, are creating exciting opportunities to improve care and deliver more personalized treatment strategies for patients.

In this carousel, I share a few thoughts on the trends generating the most excitement in prostate, kidney and bladder cancer research, as well as the critical role clinical trials continue to play in advancing the field.”
