Beena Narayanan: The Max Foundation Launches Patient Support Meetings in Mysore

Beena Narayanan, India Country Head at The Max Foundation, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What was long pending finally became a reality in Mysore on 9th May, at Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology — made possible by the encouragement and wholehearted support of Dr. Avinash CB and his wonderful hospital team.

More than 85 patients and caregivers came together, many attending such a meeting for the very first time. Some arrived unsure of what to expect, and a few even came alone—but they all went back carrying a deep sense of belonging, feeling part of one big family. For many, this was also their first interaction with The Max Foundation and their first step into the Friends of Max community.

The overwhelming attendance for a first‑time meeting in the city was truly special, not just in numbers but in spirit. The genuine love, trust, and respect shown by everyone who attended made the day deeply meaningful. The workshop on the importance of PCR testing added strong value, but it was the shared emotions, warmth, and human connection that truly defined the meeting.

We concluded the day with hearts full, touched by stories, smiles, and moments that will remain a treasured memory for all of us.”
