A Growing Pathway into Science for Indigenous Youth in B.C. – BC Cancer Foundation

BC Cancer Foundation shared on LinkedIn:

“Six weeks of paid research experience. Real mentorship.

A growing pathway into science for Indigenous youth.

Seed2STEM connects Indigenous high school and undergraduate students from across B.C. with researchers for hands-on experience, mentorship and leadership development. Last year, the program expanded to BC Cancer through a partnership with the Gynecologic Cancer Initiative, made possible by BC Cancer Foundation donors.

Students spent the summer working alongside BC Cancer research teams, then presented their work at a poster day to family, friends and staff, showcasing both their achievements and the breadth of research happening across BC Cancer.

This is what donor investment builds: a more equitable future for healthcare in B.C.

Thank you, TELUS and TELUS Friendly Future Foundation.”
