“Honored to present our poster at IMACC 2025 in Leeds, UK, representing Spain at this international meeting.
Our study on anal cancer treated with chemoradiotherapy shows excellent long-term survival and disease control, more than 90% of patients remained colostomy-free after over 10 years, and low severe toxicity with no treatment-related mortality.
In the Canary Islands, the incidence of anal cancer reaches 1.9%, higher than in other Spanish regions, despite being considered a rare tumor.
Proud to share the research developed in our department on an international stage.”
